In the music video I am making the character is going to carry around a notebook which will feature his sketches and song lyrics, the book provides the audience with window into the protagonists innermost thoughts and feelings.  Andrew Goodwin's 'Dancing In The Distraction Factory' theory suggests that intertextual references are a key aspect of music videos. This is when references to other media are made in the video, something which we will incorporate into our music video through 'the book'.
